Jerry McKay

Jerry Dean McKay, age 89, passed away, surrounded by family, on August 8, 2025. He was born February 27, 1936 to Lyle and Clara (Zimmerman) McKay in Fairbury, NE.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Doris Brown, Jim McKay, and Dennis McKay; and son-in-law, Joe Buccheri.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary (Slattery) McKay; children, Jerry (Cheryl) McKay, Michele Buccheri, Tim (Gail) McKay, Kathleen (Collin) Maloney,and Matt (Kathleen) McKay; grandchildren, Connor (Gina), Claire, Monica (JD), Jacob, Nolan, Bridget, Marley, Mary Katherine, Jayden, Mikey; great grandchildren, Brady, Carson, and Collin; siblings, JoAnn (Keith) Brown, Judy (Richard) Chloupek, and Bob (Kim) McKay.

Private family services were held.
