JoAnn Trecek

On July 21, 2026, JoAnn Trecek, age 91, passed peacefully in her home with her family at her bedside. She will be missed greatly by those still here and is now enjoying a sweet reunion with her 2 sons. JoAnn, born May 17, 1935 in Omaha Nebraska, is preceded in death by 2 sons, Jerry and Timothy Trecek; son in law John (Jack) Wilkinson, her parents, one sister and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her children Jody Wilkinson (Tom Kalasky), Donald Trecek (Sandie), Gary Trecek (Ellen), Nancy Lunsford (Joel) and Gail Wessling (Bill), 1 brother, 2 sisters, 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on August 1, 2026 from 1-4 pm at Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Omaha at 4712 So. 82nd Street. Private family burial at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.
