John Richard Nava

John Richard Nava, 55, of La Vista died Monday October 17th in Omaha. John was born November 10, 1966 in El Paso, Texas to Luis and Winnifred Catrina (Krunk) Nava.
He graduated in 1984 from El Paso Parkland High School and joined the United States Air Force. During his ten years of service, he met and married Un Mi Karen Hurlburt while he was stationed in Hawaii.
John went on to work for the Nebraska Department of Corrections and then as a Security Supervisor for the Douglas County Sheriff.
John is Survived by his wife Un Mi Karen Nava of Fort Worth, TX; Daughters Jennifer (Kyle) Gilbert of Papillion and Nicole (David) Stein of Saginaw, TX; grandsons Landen, Rowen, and Graysen Gilbert; granddaughter Olivia Stein; brother Tony Nava of Raymond, New Hampshire.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mark.
