Johnny Clements

May 7, 1950 — July 20, 2025

Johnny Ervin Clements passed away July 20, 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 75 years old. He was born May 7, 1950 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Johnny was proud of his service in the United States Army and Air Force as a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved his family and friends, but especially enjoyed his grandchildren and his role as Papa.

He kept cookies and snacks on hand that his grandkids enjoyed so he could slow them down enough to get a hug or a hello. He was the keeper of the tools, the important things, and we could count on that. He enjoyed playing Dominoes (his signature sound as he threw down his winning whatever), card games like Spades and Rummy, watching Western classics, bbqing, and Sunday morning breakfast was a ritual.

He loved God and always encouraged us to do the right thing. Until he couldn't physically do it anymore, he mopped and did dishes every day as a part of his daily routine. His military training helped him keep order when he retired from Builder's Supply 15 years ago.

Johnny is survived by his longtime companion, Kelly Leet and their children Amanda Leet, Lucas (Jael) Leet, and Zachary (Heather) Leet; 7 grandchildren: Elijah(12), Isaiah(11), Aiden(8), Ezra(5), Zendaya(3), Alex(3) and ZaCari(1); a host of honorary nieces and nephews, and close friends.
