Joseph Lee Hodges

Joseph Lee Hodges was born in Hazelhurst MS to Beatrice Hodges and Seymore Hodges Sr. on January 1, 1958. Joseph sadly passed away on September 24, 2022 in Omaha, NE at the age of 64.

Joseph was a very kind hearted person, anyone who knew him knew how caring and sweet he was. Joseph went out of his way to make sure others were taken care of. He took care of his mom until she took her last breath. Joseph was a very good father; he took care of his family and a host of nieces and nephews. Family meant everything to him.

Joseph would give the shirt off of his back for anyone. He went out of his way to do for others first and put himself last. Joseph was a strong man.

Joseph is preceded in death by mother Beatrice Hodges; father Joseph Hodges Sr.; brother Seymore Hodges Jr.; 3 nephews Sharay Hodges, Cornelius Hodges, and Samuel Hodges; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by children Tausha McDonald, Taneasha McDonald, and Tracy Cooks; grandchild Tamarius McDonald; siblings Inez Hodges, Linda Hodges, Diane Hodges, Sally Mae Hodges, Ethel Hodges, and Jerry Norals; a host of nieces and nephews
