Karen K. Barry

Karen K. Barry, age 69, passed away in the early hours of March 26, 2023, in Omaha, NE after a short liver and bone cancer battle.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Badgett (Timothy Sr), grandchildren, Breyah Badgett-Gadson (Myles) and Timothy Badgett Jr; great-granddaughter, Tariah Badgett; siblings, Barbara Lewis and Randy Karasek; nieces and nephews.

All who were blessed enough to have known Karen are comforted with the memories of her comical nature, iron-willed personality, her love for the food-no matter if she was cooking it, eating it, writing down a newfound recipe, or recalling past delicious meals she enjoyed at local restaurants. Food was Karen's love language. Her grandchildren can even recall her pure excitement at the monumental milestone in her eyes when they were able to advance from eating a regular cheeseburger to consuming their very first Whopper with her during one of their many sleepovers when they were young.

Karen was graciously welcomed into heaven by her parents, Joe and Phyllis Karasek, her grandparents, her brother-in-law James M. Lewis, her aunts and uncles, her cousins, her granddog Chloe and many furry, scaled, shelled, and feathered pets. If love could have saved her, she would have been with all of us forever.
