Karen Lofdahl

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Karen Lofdahl, age 74, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, April 27th surrounded by loved ones.

Born on January 19th, 1951, in Oakland, Nebraska, Karen was a beloved daughter and sister, caring wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren, caretaker to countless other children, and treasured friend to many. Her absence will be deeply felt.

Karen will be remembered for her strength, steadfast presence, unwavering faith in the Lord, love for a sweet treat, and the way she made everyone feel cared for. Her presence brought light and comfort to all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Matt Lofdahl, Chris Lofdahl, and Connie (Lofdahl) Current, as well as her nine grandchildren, and her sisters, Donna Carlson and Norma Vana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Keuck and Amelia “Millie” Messerschmidt, and her husband, David Lofdahl.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 8th, at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 15005 Q St, Omaha, NE 68137. The visitation will begin at 9:30 am, service at 10:30 am, and a luncheon to follow. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and celebrate.
