Kathleen Dudley

Kathy Dudley, 74, Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully July 7th, 2025.Kathy was born to Carolyn and Harlan Mahaffy on March 23rd, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan.

Kathy worked at UNMC as an occupational therapist for 19 years. She met her husband, Rick, of 46 years there in her first year. She frequently regaled her time at the hospital when she crossed paths with current staff or alumni of UNMC. Kathy was an avid hobbyist, enjoying anything that she could make herself. She dabbled in pottery, weaving and painting. In her later years she enjoyed card making with friends and family. Everyone got a personalized hand made card for holidays and special occasions. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading, and you could always find her snapping pictures at family gatherings.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father and mother.

She is survived by her husband Rick Dudley, her daughters Karin (Josh) Kegley and Shannon (Derek) Everhart. She is also survived by grandchildren Cherry, Talon, Skyleigh, Everett, Lillyth, Henry and her siblings John, Joe and Mary.
