Kathryn Long

Kathryn Long, affectionately known by all her family and friends as Kat/Kathy, was born October 1, 1952, to Arthur and Bessie Mae in Hastings, Nebraska. She was the fourth child of ten children. Kathryn was proceeded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Long, Sr., parents and several of her siblings.

Kathryn leaves behind her loving children, Charnell Long, Bobby Long, Jr. (Sonya), Darnell Long (Shelley), Bernard Long (Tiffany) and Roland Long (Nicole). She also has three living sisters – Victoria Dibbrell, Artie Segers and Alicia (James) Gullie, and one living sister-in-law, Sheila Long. Kathryn was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was known for her family meals and taking care of her children. She attended Omaha Public Schools where she met and fell in love with Bobby – the love of her life. They raised their children together and resided in Omaha, Nebraska for most of their lives.

The family wants to thank our family pastor Benjamin Allen, her nieces, nephews, family and friends, Doctor Andrea Jones (her primary physician), Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, the Hospice House Care Facility and all others who called and visited for all their special care and attention shown to her during her illness.
