Katrina Marie Morar Henry

July 27, 1956 — December 16, 2025

Omaha

Katrina accepted her terminal cancer diagnosis with grace, bravery and a fierce determination to put her house and affairs in order so that her family would not be burdened by her death. That is who she was...generous, unselfish, family first. Katrina took her role as a single parent seriously and worked tirelessly as a salesperson, winning dozens of awards in her 25+ year career, in order to make a home for her and her young daughter. A tireless advocate for abused women and children, she donated to several women's shelters in Omaha. Even with as ill as she was, when the recent SNAP funding collapsed, Katrina still found the strength to join with neighbors to collaborate and donate food to families at a local elementary school.

Her love of gardening and flowers is well known, her home full of exotic plants and her back yard an oasis. She could have been a professional florist with her outstanding bouquets. Katrina had a warm, easy way with those she encountered and was unapologetically herself. She loved animals, was fiercely loyal to her friends, and unlike most, she loved to cook. Katrina was quick witted with a fabulous sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. She will be greatly missed.

Her parents Betty and Alex Morar preceded her in death. Katrina is survived by her daughter Sarah Henry, her sisters Sandra Rohde and Michelle Morar, brother Alexander David Morar, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Donations can be sent to the Women's Center for Advancement, Omaha, NE.
