Kendra Mae Norgard

Kendra Norgard (Whitmore), age 65, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026. She was born on March 15, 1961, to Merlyn and Bonita Whitmore. Raised in Woodbine, Iowa, Kendra graduated from Woodbine High School. She had a special fondness for animals, dearly loved her cats, and especially enjoyed visits to the Henry Doorly Zoo, where she loved taking the kids when they were young.

Kendra was preceded in death by her mother, father, and grandparents. She shared a particularly close bond with her maternal grandparents, Opal and Leiter Brookhouser, whose love and guidance remained a treasured part of her life.

She is lovingly survived by her sons, Joshua Jacobsen, Jeremy Jacobsen (Sarah), and Brandon Workman; her sister, Theresa Houston; her cherished grandchildren, Chance, Skylar, Micah, and Kace; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, many dear friends, and all who will remember her with love.

Kendra will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace.
