Kevin Robert Smith

Kevin passed away in his home peacefully on December 14th

Born on January 30th, 1958 to JoAnn and Glenn Smith.

Kevin's faith in God was his #1, and his #2 was the love for his Wife, Wilma

Kevin served in the US Marine Core after High-school and then accepted a job at Nash Finch in Cedar Rapids, IA where he worked for many years.

He relocated for his job to Nebraska years later and eventually transferred to the VA Hospital in Nebraska where he worked until retirement. He was a wonderful asset to the Hospital and He loved helping people. He enjoyed his work and a job well done.


Kevin loved being Outdoors, gardening, cooking, canning, writing, fixing things inside and outside, had a fierce love of animals (especially his dog Brody) and had an incredible sense of Humor.


Kevin is survived by his Wife Wilma, Children Krysta (Ryan) and Carl, his Mother JoAnn, Brothers Kelly (Debra) and Bruce ( Laurinda) and 4 Grandchildren.

He is proceeded in Death by his Father Glenn.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later Date.
