It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Koffi Japhet Mawuli Konou, who passed away peacefully at his home in Omaha on February 10th, 2026.
Born on December 31st, 1966, in Togo to Kossi Konou and Amah Tsevi, Japhet served as a professional escort and driver for the Government of Togo after earning his High School diploma. Upon immigrating to the United States, his passion for automobiles led him to become a highly skilled and respected self-taught auto mechanic and shop owner.
Japhet was a discreet man of great faith and immense generosity. Whether gifting a car to a friend in need or quietly providing solutions for his family, he lived a life dedicated to those he loved. A talented musician, he also took great pride in playing the trombone for his Presbyterian congregation band in Togo.
He is survived by his wife, Micheline Konou, and his children: Ken, Francoise, Jacqueline, Ashley, and Edwige Konou.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27th, at 9:00 a.m. at:
