Larry Neil Gillam

Larry Neil Gillam passed away May 1, 2026 in Bellevue Nebraska at the age of 82 years. he was born August 31, 19943 in Holyoak, Massachusetts.

Larry lived a life marked by dedication, patriotism, and quiet strength. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 22 years before retiring with honor. During his military career, Larry earned the respect of fellow service members and carried a deep sense of duty throughout life.

Outside of service, Larry found joy in the simple things, a Green Bay Packers game, a Hershey bar with almonds, a good western, tinkering with small engines, and helping others as an AA sponsor.

Most importantly, Larry will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, compassion for others and love for his family and friends. He touched many lives and leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.

Larry is preceded in death by his wife Alice Gillam; parents Kenneth and Doris Gillam; and brother Leon Gillam.

He is survived by his children Shaun Gillam and Joseph (Megan) Gillam; brother Dean (Judy ) Gillam; and nieces and nephews, and other family.

A memorial service will be held on May 28, 2026 at Omaha National Cemetery at 11am, followed by a luncheon at Spaghetti Works.

In honor of Larry's life the family asks that donations be made to Disabled American Veterans in lieu of flowers. Larry will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
