Larry L. Klingman

Larry Klingman, age 86, passed away on January 17, 2024. 

Larry was born in Herreid, SD to Andrew Klingman and Albena Klingman.  The family moved to McLaughlin, SD when Larry was about 8 years old. The family farm was located north of McLaughlin, SD.  Larry married Karen Hepper of McLaughlin, SD on November 25, 1960. They made their home in Harrold, SD where their first son Randy was born. They moved to Gregory, SD where Scott was born. Then the family moved to Aberdeen, SD where sons Doug and Jeff where born. Several moves included Sioux City, IA, Billings, MT, and Bellevue, NE. 

He was an avid friend of Bill W.

He was preceded in death by his father Andrew Klingman; mother Albena Klingman; and son Jeff Klingman . 

He is survived by his wife Karen Klingman; sons Randy (Christine) Klingman, Scott (Sylvia) Klingman, Doug (Karen) Klingman; grandchildren Bennett Klingman, Kaylee Klingman, Jesse Tripp, Nichole Klingman, Christopher Klingman and Andrew (Ellen) Hanson; brother Roger (Helen) Klingman; sisters Bonnie (Jim) Kirschenman and Sherry Lee (Dave) Lemon; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service Sunday, January 21, at 1:00pm at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home - L Street Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the family.
