Leroy Bell was born to Leroy Bell Sr and Pearline Willis Bell on September 23, 1966, in Jackson MS.
He spent some of his childhood living in Rolling Fork, MS with family. Briefly relocated to Chicago, IL. The family then resided in Omaha, NE.
Leroy, known as "Lee" to family and close friends attend Elementary School and Technical High School in Omaha. When Technical High School closed during Leessenior year, he transferred to Bryan High School. Later in his life Lee received his GED.
Lee loved to tell stories of his childhood, point out any mischief that was involved. He would start off by saying "remember when". Lee being the oldest of his siblings was sure to get into trouble from his great ideals. He knew how to make his parents mad.
Lee enjoyed playing basketball growing up, getting his skills from aunts and uncles on the Bell side of the family. He was a big fan of the sport. Lee would help with the many drives from Omaha to Mississippi for the family reunions or just to go visit whatever the occasion would be.
Lee worked for Omaha Paper Stock where he also got friends to come work there too. Lee was a true friend loved to hang out with his homeboys, if he called you a friend you were one for life. He loved to laugh and joke with people he loved, and to reminisce on the good times.
Lee became a father at a young age and with that came a lot of life lessons that he may not have gotten right in the beginning, but through the years he tried to make better relationships with his sons. He loved his sons and grandchildren; niece and nephew and they loved him.
For the past seven years Lee battled with heart and health issues. He was in and out of the hospital, the place he did not like to be. His heart became too weak to receive the corrective procedure he needed.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Bell Sr and Pearline Willis Bell, he leaves to cherish his sons: Adrian Payne (Angie Payne) Lincoln NE; Andre Johnson; Donovan and Daeshaun Clark, Omaha NE. Grandchildren: Adrian and Amaya Payne, Lincoln NE; Rashad, Donovan Jr and London Clark, Omaha, NE. Siblings: Dexter Bell, Sabrina Bell, Dominic Haynes, and Ashley Bell Omaha, NE. Bonus sister LaRonda Washington-Lewis (Mark Lewis) Host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
