Linda Marie Monestero

November 1, 1944 — May 17, 2026

Omaha

Linda Monestero passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 81.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michelle, and her brother, Garry Boetel. She is survived by her loving children, Gina Craig and husband Jim, and Steve Foran and wife Sara; her cherished grandchildren, Allyssa, Noah, Stevie, and Liam; and her adored great-grandchildren, Araceli, Viviana, and Jovani.

Linda dedicated much of her life to her career and the people she served. She began her working years as the head hostess at Bishop's Cafeteria and went on to spend more than 50 years as a respected property manager with NP Dodge and Robert Hancock. Through her work, she built lasting friendships and touched countless lives with her kindness, humor, and unwavering work ethic.

She was a devoted fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs, rarely missing a chance to cheer on her teams. Linda also had a special place in her heart for the elderly, always showing compassion and generosity with both her time and her heart.

Those who knew Linda will remember her quick wit, her ability to make people laugh with a perfectly timed joke or comment, and the warmth she brought into every room. Above all else, Linda loved her family deeply and selflessly, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to cousin, Sharon Caniglia, for her devoted love and care during Linda's final months. They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Kristen and Danielle of St. Croix Hospice for the compassion, comfort, and support they provided to Linda and her family, as well as her devoted 24-hour caregivers from CCA whose kindness and care brought comfort and dignity during her final days.

Her love, laughter, and caring spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
