Lynda Louise Mann Kubeck 87, passed peacefully, on January 20, 2026 after a long battle with dementia. Thank you to the Good Samaritan Society Rehabilitation Facility of Syracuse, NE for the wonderful care your staff provided for Lynda.
Lynda was born in Conway, NH, December 4, 1938, the first child of Henry and Louise Mann. She is predeceased by her parents Henry W. Mann and Louise Garland Mann, her two sisters, Rachel Pierce 7/5/2020 and Phyllis Mann 8/14/2025.
Lynda spent her childhood years in Dover, mainly on Back River Rd, attended Varney, Belknap, Ida B Hanson and Dover High Schools. At DHS, she participated in many after school activities and made many friends with whom she has always kept in contact. She worked as a telephone operator at New England Telephone after graduation from DHS in 1957. She met her future husband Albert H Jones at DHS. After graduation, they were married and were at University of NH until Al graduated and went into the Air Force as an officer. During the following years, raised their family and traveled to several bases in the US. Later in life their marriage was dissolved and she met Gerald D. Kubeck whom she was married to until his passing on 11/7/2022.
Lynda was always creative and made clothing for herself and her children and while in the military enjoyed officers club groups and outings. Lynda and Jerry lived in California for a time and when they moved home to New England, Lynda worked at Maine Medical Center and retired from there around 2001.
On retirement Lynda wanted to travel and toured, England, Scotland and Wales in 2003, Ireland in 2004, Alaska Cruise in 2005. Bahama and Caribbean cruises were enjoyed since she and Jerry decided to move to FL. The next big trip was to Italy, in 2011.
In 2016 Lynda and Jerry got the gem mining bug and many trips were made to Georgia for black Tourmaline and Aquamarine, North Carolina for Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald mining. A mine in NC was so much fun and successful, that it became the spot to return to often.
