Malcolm Flight

September 16, 1958 — December 15, 2025

Malcolm Eric Flight (1958-2025) was born on September 16th, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY to John Flight and Lorena McKnight. He later moved to Long Island (North Babylon, NY) where he attended North Babylon High School. Throughout his youth, he worked alongside his father at Amco Cleaners in Cambria Heights, NY (Queens, NY) where he developed his love for business. Growing up, Malcolm loved to roller skate and drag race on the weekends. Anybody who knew Malcolm, knew he loved his cars (no Hondas). He was very fond of Chevys and Fords, Mustangs to be exact. His first car was a 1971 Camaro, known as “The Ground Shaker”. He also loved The Looney Toons and Bugs Bunny was his favorite character.

Malcolm later developed a passion for trucking and obtained his CDL in the 80’s. He started his career and drove for North American Van Lines and later drove for Shanno and Mainliner. His entrepreneurial roots would later compel him to become an owner/operator and be his own boss. This led to the creation of a very successful company, Flight Time Enterprises. Malcolm drove trucks for 40+ years until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. This didn’t stop his love for trucking and being his own man. Despite his health issues, he continued to drive his truck until recently 10/2025 when he hung up his keys for good. Malcolm took his last breath on December 15th, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. He left a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love behind, which is a reminder for us to chase our dreams and fight on despite life’s many obstacles. Keep God first and cherish one another.
