Marilyn Marickie Mae Lewis was born in Ft.Worth Texas to Lois Jean Thomas and Lynn Lewis Jr. But Marilyn lived most of her life in Des Moines, Iowa. Marilyn spent many years working for Polk County Treasurers Office before retiring due to medical issues,

Marilyn loved to play card games, watch movies and hang with her grandbabies. Marilyn was a loving person and liked to help people when she could, Marilyn will be forever missed by those who loved her. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Shi'Randi and Michael Hill, Grandchildren Daniel J Buls Jr, Auria C Hill, Zora M Hill, Carson L Hill, and Madeline M Hill, Her Parents Lynn Lewis Jr (Sonia),siblings Rodnee R Lewis, Al Fonzo Lewis, Lynn "Huff" Lewis III, Ma Rikki R Lewis, Roscoe L lewis (Camelle), Ina M Lewis, Michael H childs Jr, and Antonio L Ashby Sr.and A host of nieces,nephews,cousins, aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by her mother Lois Thomas, Grandmother Elizabeth Thomas, and sibllings Robert M Washington, Lynn "Pooh" Lewis IV, Lynn A Lewis, and Marie A Washington.
