Mary was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, where she spent her childhood surrounded by family, community, and the experiences that shaped the loving and strong woman she would become. More details of her early life and memories will be shared by her family.
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She is lovingly remembered by her son and daughter, her three grandchildren, and her great-granddaughter, all of whom she cherished deeply and loved with her whole heart.
Mary dedicated more than 20 years of service to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where she was respected for her hard work and commitment to others. She also enjoyed being part of a bowling league and proudly served as a union representative for her coworkers.
Mary is survived by her son, Terry Carroll (Tina); her daughter, Danita Carroll; her longtime companion, Rick Richardson; her grandchildren, Skylar Reed (Anu), Hershel Reed, and Da'Ron Hall; and her great-granddaughter, Nora Reed. She also leaves behind many beloved brothers and sisters, along with countless family members and friends who will cherish her memory. She will be remembered for her kindness, humor, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
