Mary DeLoa, age 92, was welcomed into eternal rest surrounded by love and family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Telesforo “Teles” Lopez, Jr.; her parents, Charles and Ruth DeLoa; her siblings, Frank, Martin, Joe, Leo, Isabel, Stella, and Alice; her daughter-in-law, Sue Escobar; all of her grandparents; and many cherished loved ones.
She is survived by her devoted children: Oscar Escobar, Mona Baez (Victor), George Lopez (Cheryl), and Romelia “Romie” Lopez. Mary was a proud and loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.
Mary’s legacy is one of resilience, love, and deep family roots. She will be remembered for laying a strong foundation of faith and teaching her family the power of prayer. She was immensely proud of her Mexican culture and instilled that pride in her children and grandchildren. A devoted and hard-working woman, Mary led by example, showing her family the value of perseverance and strength. Her love for dance, music, and family brought joy to every gathering. Her stories, her spirit, and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
