Marylou Bell, 80, passed away on Monday, September 21st, 2026 at her home in Papillion, Nebraska. Marylou was "tiny but mighty!" She didn't know a stranger which was a huge asset to her lengthy and award winning Real Estate career.
Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Marylou was the youngest of three children born to Lackawanna (Thompson) Stone. She was born on January 26th, 1946. Marylou is survived by her husband, Vern Bell and to cherish her memory, her three children, Julie Bell of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mark Bell and Chris Bell of Omaha. She was called Nana by her five grandchildren, Amanda Gazave, Nathan Bell, Austin Bell (Shelby) Brandi Wilke (Kyle) and Anna Bell. She was blessed with 7 great grandchildren Rachel Gazave, Aurora Bell, Graysan Bell, Landon Gazave (who passed before her and has been waiting to cuddle with his Nana) Emmy Bell, Klara Johnson, and Osmund Bell who just got to meet Nana when he was a newborn days before she passed. Her 2 precious dogs, Bella and Buddy, already miss her so much! They miss her because they loved her so much (maybe a little because she was the main one who still fed them when they begged at the table)
She walked with and deeply loved her Savior. Her love and care for family and friends was obvious because she loved others the way Jesus has called his children to do.
She will be missed so very much but she is now at peace and fully healed. Marylou loved spending time with her children and grand children watching them play baseball and going shopping in particular! She loved her time spent in San Vito, Italy where Vern was stationed in the late 70s/early 80s. She chaperoned volleyball trips, supervised kids working at the base commissary, and loved the children's friends so much that everyone called her Mom! She was a wonderful room mother for her children and could often be found spreading her love and sweet smile around the hallways of elementary schools for many years. "To know Marylou, is to love her and to be blessed!"
