Maurianna Renee Ashley

Maurianna Renee' Ashley was born on August 28, 2017 to Quantellia Franklin and Phillip Ashley Sr. in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Conestoga Magnet Elementary School and Sprouts Learning Center in Omaha, NE.

Maurianna was sweet, innocent, and carefree. She had the personality of a grown woman who knew exactly what she wanted and had no problem expressing those wants. Maurianna was a grown woman trapped in the body of a tiny sassy toddler. Her personality and wisdom were far beyond her years as was her love for food. You couldn't open a package of food or a to-go box without getting the side eye and smirk, followed with the expectation to share. In her presence you could expect to laugh, and question what she was saying because of her language, however there was no question if she liked you or not because she had no problem expressing it.

Maurianna and her brother Phillip Jr. (PJ) were inseparable, if you saw her, you saw him. Together those two would get into trouble but somehow talk themselves out of it. Phillip was Maurianna's protector, translator, and condifident, he understood the assignment of being his "Sisters Keeper" he held that title down day in and day out. Phillip will carry on his sister's legacy and her contagious laugh, bright smile and boss baby personality will live on through all who love her, especially Phillip. Most of all she was a young and active three-year-old and will be missed. So today we will celebrate Maurianna's life and the joy she brought to everyone that she encountered.

She leaves to cherish her memories her parents Quantellia Franklin and Phillip Ashley Sr.; her Nana Donna Ashley, grandmother Sherry Smith; siblings Xaxier Ray, David Thornton, De'Andre Thornton, DeMonte' Johnson, DeMarion Johnson, Da'Tayvese Parker and Phillip Ashley Jr.; Aunt Dana'e Ashley (Kevin); uncle Brandon Ashley; great aunts, great uncles, and a host of other relatives.
