Maximus Johnson

Maximus passed away October 2, 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 13 years. He was born May 25, 2012 in Omaha.

Maximus is preceded in death by his grandmother, Karen Walkling and his aunt Amber Nielsen.

He is survived by his parents, Ashlen and Whitney Johnson; sister Lilah Johnson; grandparents Mike and Kim Grieve, David Johnson, and Bobby and Anna Nielsen; great-grandparents Karen Counterman, and Warren and Sue Grieve; and uncles Dustin (Leigh Ann) Johnson, Stephan (Haley) Johnson, Bobby Joe (Jade) Nielsen, Jesse (Lisa) Orr; aunt Antrenity (Shawn) Richards; and cousins Brooklyn, Braeleigh, Brityn, Brody, Oliver, Amanda, Jordyn, Marissa, Kaitlyn, Madisyn, and Jett; many great-aunts,uncles, and other family; and his best buds Eevie, Oliver, and Rosie.

The family would like to thank the staff at Children’s Nebraska and Boston Children’s Hospital for caring for Maximus. Special thanks to Frito who provided comfort and puppy snuggles and Seth The Sandwich Guy who provided kindness, had Maximus’ sandwich order memorized, and was a kindred spirit.
