JJ is preceded in death by his parents, Maybre and Alva Johns; brother Larry Johns; and sister Dorothy "Dot" Johns.
He is survived by his children, Amy Robinson-Johns, Patrice Pittman, Curtis Pittman, Steven (Joanna) Johns, and Taniya (Jason) Huff; grandchildren Tre'Brina (Londyn) Neal, Ambria (Ian) Hogue, Malek Pittman, Korey Hedrick-Pittman, Marcus Huff, Jalynn Huff, and Johnathan Huff; 2 great-grandchildren; partner Luanne Hartso and her children; cousin Ceola Hogan; and host of other family and many friends.
