Late Kedparon Mehra Ioanis Darra, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born on July 21, 1955, on Pingelap Island in the Federated States of Micronesia.
KP Mehra was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dannes Brown and Aiko Brown. She is survived by her devoted husband, Melson Darra.
She leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her daughters: Flora Ikosia (Kendy Ikosia), Hellen Joseph (Haspy Joseph), Malese Jerry (Conway Jerry), Merria Clark (Swyther Clark), and Melinda Pony (Terry Pony), along with many grandchildren (Erose Darra, Kendy Ikosia Jr (Ashley Isisaki Ikosia), Shawn Ikosia, Kisha Ikosia, Kendra Ikosia, Arvin Joseph, AJ Joseph (Dory-Ann Joseph), Andrew Joseph, Melvin Darra (Frangia Alokoa Darra), Shelby Jerry Elias (Gobe Elias), Malcolm Jerry, Anthony Damon Clark, Pelcy-Mershalyn Clark, Merencia Claire Clark, Smither Swyther Clark II, Bayan Pony, Alfaro Pony, TJ Pony, JayCarter Lainos, Julia Pony, Treah Mae Pony, Delson Melson Pony) and great-grandchildren (Gayle Melgracia Ioanis, Okeefe Thurston Darra Ioanis, Erma Lois Ioanis, Ioane Sana Ioanis, Shawn Isisaki, Kade Ikosia, Kierra Ikosia, Amari Baden Jack, Hezekiah Joseph, Napu Joseph, Melea Rue Darra Jerry, Ghloria Malroseli Elias) who were the center of her life and joy.
KP Mehra will be remembered as a woman of incredible strength, unwavering dedication, and boundless love. Her passion for singing was matched only by the deep happiness she found in caring for her children and family. She lived by a powerful work ethic, centered on the simple act of always being present. After her first retirement as a cook for Early Childhood Education in Pohnpei, FSM, she brought her diligence to Omaha, Nebraska. There, she contributed her skills as an assembler at MAC Industries, an operator at SKYLARK, and an assembler at RD Industries. Her commitment extended deeply into her community, where she was an active Kedparon in her church group.
KP Mehra’s life was one of love, resilience, and devotion. Her legacy lives on through her family, her values, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Her services will be held at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 4712 S 82nd Street, Omaha NE 68127. Visitation: Friday (3/27/26) from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral Service: Saturday (3/28/2026) at 9:00 AM. Burial: Bellevue Cemetery, Bellevue, NE. Complete notice is pending.
