Melissa Jayne Good

Melissa Jayne Good passed away unexpectedly in her home in Omaha, NE on November 29, 2022, at the age of 45. While the family is shocked by her death, we are thankful for her life.

Melissa was born on July 5, 1977 in Bemidji, MN. She was raised by her mother Ramona Good and her father Bruce Hagge along with her sister Tanya, in Bloomfield, NE. She attended school in Bloomfield where she graduated in 1995. She played basketball, volleyball, was on the swim team, a cheerleader, and a Girl Scout. She coached her son Trystin's basketball team along with his father, John Gorecki. She excelled at everything she put her heart into. Melissa was very artistic and was an amazing dancer. Always full of good-natured trickery, she would do goofy dances to make Tanya laugh and lighten the mood. Her kindness for animals was evident at a young age in her love of dogs or any animal she found. She always had at least one dog in her life. She took on two from the Red Lake Rosie Animal Rescue.

Melissa was united in holy matrimony to Brenden Schuler on July 13, 2014. The union was blessed with their seven-year-old son Lucian GoodSchuler, who they love very much. Melissa had the spirit that could light up an entire room. She enjoyed doing karaoke with Brenden and her son Lucian. If you tried to dance around her it would surely end in a dance off. Melissa's also loved to cook for everyone that she came in contact with and was called Momma Mel by those close to her.

Melissa was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin. She was especially loving and caring to her two sons, Trystin Gorecki, and Lucian. Melissa had an exceptionally close and loving relationship with her mother, Ramona, father Bruce, and sister, Tanya. She was an extremely proud and fun aunt to her nephew, Ethan and nieces, Larissa and Lanae.

Melissa loved her Lord Jesus and recently, in the past few weeks, devoted herself to him again. While spiritually well, she has faced many trials and tribulations. Her body was tired, and it was time for her to join all the family members who have gone before her.

Even though Melissa left us far too soon, she lived an extraordinary life surrounded by people who loved her. Her vivacious spirit and unforgettable laugh will be missed by all who know her.

Melissa is survived by her husband Brenden Schuler, sons Trystin Gorecki, and Lucian GoodSchuler, mother Ramona Good, her sister Tanya (Good) (Lance) Howard, father Bruce (Mary) Hagge, and numerous aunts, uncles, niece and nephew. Melissa is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bert Good, and Irene Bendickson, paternal grandparents Harlan and Norma Hagge and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
