Michelle Jean Schafer

Michelle Schafer, age 51, passed away peacefully at CHI Health Mercy Hospital December 21, 2022. She was born October 5, 1971 to Lyle and Vera (Osbern) Francis in Omaha, NE. Michelle lived in Omaha, NE the majority of her life until moving to Council Bluffs, IA. Michelle enjoyed couponing. Her pride and joy was she spent most of her days caring about others and their well being.

She was preceded in death by Lyle (Jim) Francis - father, Vera (Vada)Francis - mother; Richard (Chris) Schafer - stepson.

Michelle is survived by Robert (Bobby) Schafer - son, of Omaha, NE, Alexis (Lexie) Sauer - daughter-in-law, of Omaha, NE, James (Jim) Francis - brother, of Omaha, NE, Cydnie (Dani) Francis - sister-in-law, of Omaha, NE, Robert (Pete) Oconnell - stepbrother, of Omaha, NE, Dustin Harbeck - stepson, of Omaha, NE, Austin Harbeck - stepson, of Omaha, NE, Paige Harbeck - stepdaughter-in-law, of Omaha, NE, Gary (Jade) Harbeck - stepdaughter, of Council Bluffs, IA, Jaynie Harbeck - stepdaughter-in-law, of Council Bluffs, IA, RaeAnn Harbeck - stepdaughter, of Council Bluffs, IA. Seven grandchildren - Josiah Sauer - grandson, Draven Schafer - grandson, Lainey Schafer - granddaughter, Axcel Harbeck - grandson, Gary Jr. Harbeck - grandson, Sylvia Harbeck - grandson, Zayne Harbeck - grandson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at L Street Chapel - Good Shepherd on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

The family will direct memorials.
