Nettie Drain

November 7, 1936 — December 11, 2025

Omaha

Nettie was the kind of woman whose love filled every room she entered. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she poured her heart into her family with a quiet strength and an unshakable devotion that will never be forgotten.

Her greatest joys in life was Jesus, her family and friends, and her beloved dog Nikki. She was the one you could always count on-whether you needed a listening ear, and laugh, or a gentle word of encouragement. Nettie's love was steady and unconditional, the kind that wrapped around you like a blanket and made you feel safe.

But nothing brought her more happiness than her great-grandbabies. They were her pride and her delight. She would do anything for them-no task too big, no hour too late, no request too small. Their laughter lit up her world, and she made sure her love was something they could feel, even before they understood it.

Nettie leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she cherished, in the traditions she built, and in the love she taught by example.

She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

Nettie is survived by her daughter, Susan Polsley; grandchildren, Lacey Kubes (James), Chelsea Nelson (Shane), Courtney Ogg (Anthony), Adam Polsley; great grandchildren, Owen, Aiden, Kinzley, Brinley, Emmily, Remington and Timberlee; brother, James Sklenar (Marcy) and a host of other loving family and friends.

Preceded in death by her son, Rory Stejskal; parents, Louis and Josephine Sklenar; siblings, Anna Dietrich, HelenBybee, Earnest Sklenar and Joe Sklenar.
