Nicanor was born in Huaniqueo, Michoacan, to J. Asencion Delgado and Ma. Carmen Garfia. Nicanor married to Lourdes Delgado of Omaha, Nebraska.
He started his career as a Labor Union Worker and went on to work for 25 years.
The couple had 4 children, Nick Delgado Jr., Lisbeth Delgado, Stephanie Delgado and Juan Manuel Delgado.
Nicanor was best known for his strong work ethic and his love for music as well as karaoke.
