Otis passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Metcalf; father, R.L. Metcalf; mother, Martha Metcalf; sisters, Eva Douglas and Ines Dunn; and brothers, R.L. Metcalf Jr. and Jimmy Lee Metcalf.

Otis is survived by his daughter, Chantel, and his son, Michael, both residing in Omaha, NE., brothers, Willie Metcalf and Eddie Metcalf, also of Omaha, NE. Two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Otis was born in Charleston, MS., where he attended elementary, middle, and graduated high school before relocating to Omaha, Nebraska. He dedicated over 45 years of hard work and service to Omaha Steel Casting Company. Known for his southern charm and generous spirit, Otis was a true social butterfly who made lasting connections with everyone he met. He was a kind and giving man who was always ready to offer a warm plate and a full heart. Fondly known as the "Grill Master," his legendary grilling skills filled many bellies and created cherished memories.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

VISITATION with family will be Monday August 11, 2025, from 1:00-2:00pm with Memorial Services immediately following at 2pm at Good Shepherd, 3809 N. 90th Street, Omaha, NE.
