Pamela Jeanne Rolow-Hiracheta

A tribute and celebration of the journey that Pamela lived and the legacy that remains. Today, as we gather our thoughts and memories, we reflect on the life of Pamela Jeanne Rolow-Hiracheta, a beloved individual whose presence graced the lives of family and friends.

Pamela, the oldest of 4 children, was raised in Fort Dodge, IA where she attended Catholic School, graduating from St. Edmonds May 1973. Pamela moved to Germany for a few years before returning to Fort Dodge, IA, where she met the father of her four children, Peter Hiracheta Jr., marrying October 30, 1978. From there she moved to Black Hawk, South Dakota for a brief time before moving to Ellsworth AFB, Rapid City, South Dakota. On June 28, 1980 her first born, Peter Thomas III, was born in Rapid City, SD. She then had her second child Andrea Marie on July 28, 1981 in Ellsworth AFB, SD. In September 1981 Pamela and Pete moved to Castle AFB, Atwater, California where they had two more children; Bryce Curtis on February 3, 1984 and Jesse Douglas, July 26, 1985. While in Castle AFB, Pamela was an active member of the Gunners Wives Association. In October 1987 her family moved to Minot AFB, North Dakota, where they lived until January 1991 then moved back to Ellsworth AFB, SD. In 1992 the family moved to Offutt AFB, Nebraska, where Pamela's 33 year legacy at Peter Sarpy Elementary School started, as a Health Paraprofessional, retiring May 2025.

At the heart of every life story are the family and friend connections she brought and the love she shared. Family was the wellspring from which Pam drew her strength and comfort. A devoted parent and grandparent, Pam's relationships spanned multiple generations that brought kindness and support for her family. Home was a place of laughter, warmth, and welcome. Family dinners, holidays, and quiet evenings together offered opportunities for storytelling, antics, and comical conversations. The love between parent and child, the bond of partnership, and the joy of grandchildren's laughter became her treasures of a life well lived. Her family celebrated with unbridled enthusiasm; in times of hardships, their steadfastness and grace provided comfort and reassurance. The legacy of her family is one of unity, resilience, and unconditional love. She loved to travel with her children and grandchildren, enjoying their support and company at each destination. The stories and photos collected along the way enriched conversations that became cherished memories, for all who witnessed.

In the quiet moments of reflection, we consider the lasting impact of a life well lived. The true measure of a legacy is found not in material possessions or accolades, but in the hearts and minds of those whose lives were touched. Her kindness, generosity, life lessons, and the memories shared will continue to shape and guide loved ones, even as we mourn Pamela's loss. May the memory of this beloved soul be a blessing and an inspiration, and may we honor Pam's life by living each day with purpose and love. In remembrance, we find hope; in hope, we find peace.

Pamela is to be cremated and her ashes presented to her children. A Celebration of Life Ceremony is planned for September 11, 2025, from 5 pm to 8pm
