Ralph Rahn Jr., born November 6, 1947, to Mabel and Ralph Rahn Sr., lived a life filled with humor, heart, and unmistakable charm. He served as transportation coordinator for Omaha Montessori’s Head Start program, drove buses for Omaha Metro Transit and Omaha Public Schools, safely guiding countless children and families.
A proud Omaha Technical High School alumnus, Ralph became a two‑time Golden Glove Champion and later a licensed mason and mechanic—a true “jack of all trades.” His storytelling, whether true or playfully exaggerated, brought joy to everyone around him. He loved bowling, movies, shopping, good food, and the art of “playing the dozens,” always with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eltor Helen Rahn; daughter, Tamika Rachelle Briggs; parents, Mabel and Ralph Rahn Sr.; sister, Shelley Houston; and brothers Keith Combs, Stephen Rahn, Clifton Williams, Warren Rahn, and Ralph “Poncho” Rahn Jr.
He is survived by daughters Ineta Lewis, Tiffany Long, and Rafayel Rahn; sons Marco Rahn (Elsalena) and Damany Rahn (Aeisha); his many sisters; brother Lance Rahn (OK); and a host of grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
The family of Ralph Rahn Jr. would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, and love during this difficult time. They find solace in the fact that his stories and his laughter will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him. May God continue to guide you all.
**Remember Ralph for his quick wit, his charming ways, and the comical sayings that only he could deliver — like, “I’ll climb down your collar, climb out your sleeve, and whoop your… like a bad disease.” — Ralph Rahn**
