Ramona Borg

Ramona (Mona) Ann Borg, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2025 at Josie Harper Hospice House, Omaha. Services to celebrate her life will be conducted privately amongst the family.

Mona was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from South High School. Mona married the love of her life, Randy Borg, on May 10th, 1997. She found a career with Fraser Stryker as a paralegal secretary for 22 years where she was well known for her tremendous amount to detail and her contagious smile. She loved being with the people that loved her the way she loved them.

Mona enjoyed gator rides with her grandchildren, feeding the birds or cats kitchen scraps, and making sure no one was putzing around! Mona was a woman of God and made sure she prayed daily for those she loved! Mona had a heart of gold, she would give her last to those she felt needed it more. The love she had for her family and friends was undeniable, as she is a woman who showed her love through her actions. Having Mona’s love was precious; you knew in your heart she would always make sure you were okay. The greatest attribute about Mona was her humor, she knew how to light up a room with her silly jokes and her infectious laugh. Her laugh and smile will be held dearly by any and all that got blessed with it.

Mona was preceded in death by her father, Vladas Poderys, her mother, Elfreida Poderys and her brothers, Walter and Bruno Poderys. Her legacy is survived through her husband Randy, her daughters Shalah (husband John), and Jill; grandchildren Damaion (wife Karen), Tiggy (husband Randy), Terryn, and Addison; siblings Nijole, Regina (husband Dean), Tom (wife Courtney), Romas (fiancé Marcella).

Mona will be celebrated daily as she would want everyone to keep smiling, making silly jokes, staying crafty, thrifting often, and always finding the best yard sales.

The family asks for continued prayers through this very difficult time, to remember Mona’s best moments and to hold onto her memories tightly.
