Rayona Mae Benson

Rayona Mae Benson passed away July 18, 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 62 years. She was born January 29, 1963 in Omaha.

Rayona is preceded in death by her husband, Randy Benson, Sr.; parents Robert and Shirley Harris; and sister Dawn Thomas.

She is survived by her children Randy (BreAnna) Benson, Jr and Amber (Brent) Moore; grandchildren Jayde, Sophia, Remington, Braxtyn, Brandyn, and Chance; brothers Robert (Kristie) Harris, Rick (Sherry) Harris, and Scott (Diane) Harris; sister Shirley (John) Robertson; and nieces, nephews, and other family.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, & friend. Known for being determined, stubborn and a hard worker. Most of her life working two jobs so she could give you her last five dollars, if she thought you needed it more.

Always the care giver, a fantastic cook, and passionate about Husker football. Whether you were family or not, you have probably been invited to one of her famous “family” dinners. All of this making her the life of the party and a willingness to go with the flow for most situations. She was truly in her happy place to be around family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
