Renee L. Brown

Renée Lynn Brown, 60, of Council Bluffs, IA passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on December 21, 1963, in North Kansas City, MO to Ray Brown and Francine Benoit, the last of five children. Renée was a pillar of determination, strength, kindness, and love. Whether she was cooking one of her famous meals, offering her wise advice, or simply being present for those she loved, she made the world a better place by being in it. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Roger Brown, and her sister Rhonda Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Jerry Haas, her son, David L. Dempsey II, her daughter, Nichole Renée Cangelosi, her stepson Jake Haas and her grandchildren, Alexis Marie Schlagle, Giuliana Renée Cangelosi, and Dominic Jasper Cangelosi.

A celebration of Renée's life will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Lung Association.
