Richard (Rick) Larson, 65, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on October 19, 2025. He was born on October 4, 1960, in O’Neill, Nebraska, to Don and Sharon Larson.
Rick graduated from O’Neill High School in 1979 and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Midland University. He built a successful career in technology and was known for his sharp mind, dedication, and easygoing sense of humor.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Rick found his greatest joy in time spent with family. He shared a loving marriage with Tammy (Logan) Larson, whom he married in 1985, and together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and lasting memories. Rick was a lifelong Nebraska Husker football fan and loved fishing -whether it was a quiet morning on the lake or a weekend trip with loved ones.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Don Larson. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Logan Larson; his mother, Sharon Larson; brother, Greg Larson; sister, Kathy (Larson) Crook, and her husband, David; daughter, Rebecca (Larson) Miller, and her husband, Josh; sons, Travis Larson, and his wife, Christina (Classen), and Jonathan Larson; seven grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 4712 S 82nd Street, Omaha, NE 68127.
A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, October 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 129 N 7th Street, O’Neill, NE 68763, with inurnment at the O’Neill Cemetery immediately following the service.
Rick will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and love of family. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.
