Richetta Ruth Matlock

In loving memory of Richetta Ruth Matlock, affectionately known as Chetty, born December 5, 1953 in Omaha, NE to Ruth Ella Matlock and Richard Albert Matlock Jr. (deceased). She was the older sister to Richard Albert Matlock III.

Richetta attended Lake and Conestoga Elementary Schools and Omaha Technical High School, where she sang in various school talent shows. She graduated in 1971.

Richetta worked in various roles at Omaha Public Schools for more than 15 years. She went on to work as a social worker, in various roles for more than 25 years at Community Alliance, serving the Omaha community until retiring in 2018.

Richetta loved her family dearly and was a doting mother to her 2 children. She enjoyed traveling, site-seeing, spending time with family, movie streaming and social media and news outlets.

Richetta was preceded in death by her father, Richard Albert Matlock Jr. and leaves to cherish her life and memory, mother Ruth Ella Matlock, daughter Tiffany Lynn Matlock-Conyers (Rodney), son Lester Phillip Matlock (Joy), grandson Aden Richard Matlock-Baker, brother Richard Albert Matlock III (Denise) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins and friends.
