Ritia Maria Adams

Mrs. Ritia Adams passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022.

She was born January 17, 1950, in Lincoln, NE, a daughter of the late Charlie Mae Houston and Carl Houston.

Ritia was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jerome Adams, SR; One daughter, Chelsey Adams, and two sons, Jerome Adams Jr. and Ramsey J Adams; and brother, Carlos Houston.

Ritia is survived by two granddaughters, Taira Carter (Tony), and Jalesa Harrison (Cameron); two great grandchildren Carrington and Camden Harrison, Two brothers, Kenny Adkins and James Adkins Jr., and her beloved pup, Mister. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Ritia was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an astounding boss and leader and rose to the top of several companies including Aflac and Quest. Although she suffered some tragedies, she lived an amazing life surrounded by people who loved and adored her. Even though she is no longer with us, her kind loving, and tenacious heart lives on in each and every one of us that keep her memory alive.

In order to respect Ritia's final wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, we ask that you cherish the great memories you had with her, and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you donate to the American Cancer Society in Ritia's honor.
