Robert Edward Barnett

Robert Edward Barnett passed away September 30, 2026, in Bellevue, Nebraska, at the age of 71 years. He was born September 27, 1955, in Jackson, Tennessee.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Margie Barnett; and biological mother, Gearoline Barnett.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karla Barnett; children, Shane (Kristen) Barnett and Shawn (Lacey) Barnett; grandchildren, Hunter, Morgan, Anthony, and Brooklyn; sister, Carla (Jerod) Noble; and nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Robert was a man who deeply appreciated life's simple pleasures, finding his greatest joy in the tranquility of the outdoors and the thrill of sports. A passionate outdoorsman, his happiest moments were spent on the water with a rod in his hand or cheering on his favorite team.

So in honor of his life, we will be fishing and watching the Huskers this Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at 12736 Calhoun Road, Omaha, NE 68152. Food and drinks will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring their own preferred beverages.
