Roger Wood

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Wood, affectionately known to his loved ones as "RaRa".

Roger was a man who found his greatest peace and joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping and spending quiet hours fishing. A loyal sports enthusiast, Roger was also a huge NASCAR fan, enjoying the thrill and speed of the race track.

Above all else, Roger's world revolved around his beloved grandson, Zayn. Their connection was immediate and profound; they were the truest of best friends. Roger's favorite thing to do was simply spend time hanging out with Zayn, and these cherished moments of shared laughter and unconditional love were some of the best moments of his life.

Roger is survived by his loving wife Penny Wood of Council Bluffs. IA, Daryl Wood-son (Misty Wood) of Council Bluffs, IA., Roy Wood (brother), Amy Hollenbeck (sister), Laurie Lawson (sister), Rhonda Nelson (sister), Wayne Davis (brother), Rodney Travis (brother, Vicky), and Renee Kennedy (sister). 2 Grandchildren, 2 step-children Mandy and Brandy, 5 step grand children, 1 step great-grandchild and many niece's and nephew's.

Roger is proceeded in death by his father John Hill and his mother Sandra Hill. His adoptive mother, Sandra Kuhl; his adoptive father, Richard Wood; and his brother, Jimmy Kuhl.

A Celebration of Life will be set at a later time by his loving family.
