Scott Street, Jr.

May 7, 1938 — August 24, 2022

Scott Street Jr. was born May 7, 1938 to the late Mr. Scott Street Sr. and Mrs. Mary Finley Street in Holly Springs, Mississippi.

After a long and productive life, he was summoned home by God on August 24, 2022.

While living in Holly Springs, Mississippi, Scott Street received his formal education. He believed and accepted Christ at Rising Star Baptist Church in Holly Springs, Mississippi at an early age.

On August 6, 1994, Scott and Patricia Street were joined in Holy Matrimony by the late Rev. Willie Washington.

Scott was a working man and he knew how to provide for his family. He worked as an Iron Worker for many years. Later he worked for Happy Cab for 15 years and he also worked as a Handyman for a while.

Scott Street received an award from the Gayles Memorial Baptist Church Men's Club as an Honorary Member. He was the Manager of the Singing Group "The Soul Children", years ago. He was also President of the Deacon's Serving Assignment.

He was previously a member of Paradise Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Later he became a member of Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, Omaha, Nebraska where he also served with the Deacon Ministry and spearheaded the Pastor's Anniversary for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Eddie Street, John Wesley Street and Ivory (Cookie) Street; sisters; Carrie (AV) Street, Lucy Mae Mitchell, Johnnie Lusk, and Minnie Lewis.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Patricia (Pat) Street; son and daughter-in-law James (Terri) Brown; grandson, Jakir; one sister, Frances Lucas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
