Sharon Luann Petersen

Sharon Luann Petersen passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 10, 2026 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 66. She was born on April 27, 1959 in Takoma Park, MD.

Sharon retired from Fiserve (First Data Resources) after 44 years.

Sharon was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She fought and survived for many years and is finally at rest. 



Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lillian Venteicher; sisters Christina Venteicher and Deborah Bruning.



She is survived by her children Justina Petersen, Kyle Petersen, and Shelby Matteo; grandchildren Landon, Brayden, Zeke, Elodie, Lillian, and Willow; sister Diana Hulsebusch, brothers Leo Jr (Terry) Venteicher, Dale (Karen) Venteicher, and Stephen (Sue) Venteicher; and nieces, nephews, and other family.

Sharon will be remembered for her love of her family and friends. We will cherish the memories we have with her and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Celebration of Life to be held on April 11, 2026 at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church

15005 Q St Omaha, NE 68137 at 11:30 am- 1:30pm. It will be held in the meeting room in the lower level, west entrance.
