Shauna Roling

Shauna Roling, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, slipped into eternal peace in her sleep on April 9, 2025, at the age of 69, in Omaha, NE. Her gentle spirit and radiant warmth will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew her.

Shauna leaves behind her devoted daughter Amber Palmer (Kevin), her adored granddaughter Josie Atkins, and her step-granddaughters Laurel (Jay) Witherwax and Alex (Joe) Paulo, who brought her boundless joy. She is also survived by her loving mother Eileen Brown, her dear sister Kim Sorensen (Christopher), her cherished nieces Sara (Luke) Young and Erica Sorensen, and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her deeply.

A woman of extraordinary creativity, fierce determination, and profound compassion, Shauna poured her heart into everything she did. She found solace in the pages of books and expressed her soul through writing. Nothing brought her greater happiness than hearing the latest stories of her daughter and granddaughters' lives-she beamed with pride at their every triumph. Her remarkable 29 years of sobriety stood as a testament to her strength and unwavering spirit, inspiring all who knew her journey.

Shauna was preceded in death by her father, Henry G. Brown, and her son-in-law, Russ Atkins, whose memories she held close. Though she is no longer with us, we will always remember her.

A memorial service to celebrate Shauna's beautiful life will be held on May 3, 2025, at 12 PM at Bethel Christian Ministries Fellowship Hall, 3702 Giles Road, Bellevue, NE 68147. Her final resting place will be Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Omaha, NE.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to help with funeral costs, honoring Shauna's memory by easing the burden on those she held dear.
