Shirley Mary Morrissey

Shirley M. Morrissey passed away August 30, 2022 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 81 years. She was born May 27, 1941 in Merrill, Iowa.

Shirley is survived by her children LuAnn (Jeff) Laughlin, Renee (David) Leopper, John (Wendy) Morrissey, Jerry (Molly) Morrissey, and Barbara (Mark) Fitzgibbons; grandchildren Kyle (Andrea), Travis (Danielle), Stacey, Crystal (Duane), Danielle (Chris), Savahanna, Riley, Caitlyn, Mckenzie, Erin, Logan (Jen), Madison (Andrew), and Sydney; great-grandchildren Taylor, Elizabeth, Allie, and Ivan; brother Ken (Pat) Newman; sisters Bernice Boland and Arlene Jones; special friend John Ashmore; many nieces, nephews, and other family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Morrissey; son Joseph Morrissey; sisters Kathy Hildreth, Phyllis Hindman, and Marilyn Klein; and her parents.

VISITATION Tuesday, September 6, from 6-7pm with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church (6111 Morrill Ave, Lincoln, NE). MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Wednesday, September 7, at 10:30am at the church. Private family interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the family.
