Steven Hamill

Steven Dennis Hamill, age 70, of Omaha passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on October 12, 2025. Born and raised in Omaha, Steve lived his entire life surrounded by the people he loved most.

A man of deep faith and quiet strength, Steve worked hard his whole life and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Papa whose greatest joy came from his family.

Steve found peace and purpose in the simple things-working in his yard, spending time outdoors, helping his family with projects and fishing with his boys. He was an Avid Nebraska football and Creighton basketball fan and always made sure those flags flew on game days in his yard. He enjoyed watching old westerns and Hallmark movies with his wife. His kindness, generosity, and steadfast love will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Steve is survived by Rona, his beloved wife of 49 years ,mother Monica Hamill, his sons, Matt Hamill (fiancée Jennifer Manzer) and Todd (Carrie) Hamill; and his treasured grandchildren, Peyton, Ryan, and Nixon Hamill, brothers, Dan, Chris (Kathy), and Jeff (Patrice), many nieces and nephews along with extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Hamill and sister-in-law, Rhonda Hamill.

Steve's life was a testament to faith, hard work, and love-a legacy that will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.

Visitation: Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00pm with Rosary Recitation at 7:00pm at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 7501 Vinton St.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:00am also at the church.

Inurnment: Calvary Cemetery, 7701 Mercy Rd, Omaha, Nebraska
