Steven Andrew Hare

Steven Andrew Hare, age 37, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2026.

Steven was born on July 4, 1988, and lived a life marked by hard work, generosity, and a deep commitment to those he cared about. He built his career as a mechanic and was proud of the skills he developed and shared with others. Steven had a natural gift for helping people, whether he was repairing vehicles, installing stereos, or teaching someone how to work on their own car.

In his free time, Steven enjoyed fishing, grilling, and spending time with family and friends. He valued connection and could often be found surrounded by the people he loved, sharing laughter, conversation, and simple moments that mattered most.

On December 14, 2013, Steven married the love of his life, Misty Hare. Together they built a life centered around family, love, and shared time with those closest to them.

He is survived by his wife, Misty Hare; his stepchildren, Alyssa (Skylar King), Mykenzie Flaitz, Harley Flaitz, and Jersey Flaitz; and his granddaughter, Sloane Archer. He is also survived by his mother, Cindy (Al Overthrow); brothers, Patrick (Molly Hare) and Michael Hare; sisters-in-law, Stacy Ellis and Jami Albertson; mother-in-law, Barb Fry; and grandmother, Lonna (Norm Rummelhart), along with many extended family members, friends, and coworkers who will carry his memory forward.

Steven is preceded in death by his father, Patrick Hare; grandparents, Marvin Conner and Darlene Hare; and uncles, Marvin Conner Jr. and Frank Hare.

He will be remembered for his willingness to help others without hesitation, his dedication to his family, and the quiet ways he showed care through action rather than words. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 3809 N 90th Street, Omaha Ne 68134. Visitation: Friday (6/26/2026) from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral Service: Saturday (6/27/2026) at 11:00 AM. Services will be livestreamed below.
