Susan M. Pluta, better known as Suzie, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on September 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Suzie was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 7, 1969 to Edra Pluta (Abrams) of Beloit, Kansas and Herman Pluta of Tecumseh, Nebraska. After a brief illness, Edra passed away while Suzie was still a baby. Edra's sister, Frances Robbins, moved into the home and helped Herman rasie both Suzie and her big sister, Pam.
Cancer entered her life at a very young age. She endured multiple surgeries and treatments, missed many school days and survived several life-threatening situations. Through it all she refused to give up her unshakable faith, God stayed with her throughout those years of battling the disease.
Suzie was finally able to move on and accomplish her number one goal in life: to become a mother. She fell in love with Vaughn West and together they had a precious daughter, Tori. Through the years Suzie and Tori navigated the world together. Tori was her pride and joy.
Suzie was an avid lover of all animals, but was especially fond of puppies. She was a talented artist, creating several drawings of her family to cherish. Her faith in God never wavered, no matter what challenge she faced. She had a childlike innocence and sweet smile that charmed the people she met, especially at Bailey Pointe Assisted Living, her final Home.
Suzie was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Moore Parish in Omaha, NE, and her greatest loves in life were God and her family.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Edra and Herman Pluta, and Frances Robbins, sister Pam Cross and brothers Tim and Jim Pluta.
She is survived by her daughter Tori (Fiance Torrey) and unborn grandson (Livin), brother Charles (Lorraine) Pluta, sisters Debbie Golden, Toni Kent, Eva Gottula, and Jean Mix, sister-in-law Jolene Pluta, brother-in-law Tom Cross, and many family freinds who are left to herish her memory.
