Tammi Sue Drake-Morris was born to Joseph E. Drake II and Mae D. Drake on October 24, 1967 in Omaha, Nebraska. Tammi was the eighth of eleven children. She attended Burke High School and became a mother of five soon after. In 1995, Tammi entered into marriage to her soulmate, Anthony Morris. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Tammi loved music and loved to dance. She also loved board games and playing cards. Tammi worked at Creighton University for many years until her health began to decline.

On July 28, 2023 Tammi departed this life peacefully at home. She was preceded in death by father Joseph E. Drake II; mother Mae D. Drake; brothers Joseph E. Drake III and Keith E. Drake; sister Traci Drake-McGaugh; niece Tara R. Drake; and nephew Clarence Thomas. She leaves to mourn her husband, Anthony Morris; two sons Shalamar Drake and Paul Drake; three daughters Taneisha Drake, LaTamara Drake and Cierra Rodriquez; stepson Anthony Morris Jr; stepdaughter Sheraka Austin; two sisters Tina (Fulton) Curry and Tasha (Sonnie) Chisem; five brothers Billy, Gayland (Lisa), Kirk, Robert, and Ronald Drake; eighteen grandchildren all of Omaha; dear friends Kathy Jones, Tracey Jones, and Renee Caldwell, and a host of relatives and friends.
